New West Texas Collection

There are some places I only visit once, and I love capturing that world in one small finite time.

And there are other places I visit again and again…as their narrative remains open to my creativity…

West Texas...

Embarking on a journey that spanned over 1,700 miles in just three days, I set out from Dallas with a singular mission: to find new feelings, layers and narratives of West Texas through my lens. This expedition led me to take almost 1,400 photographs, each bringing to light a unique story of the corners turned, horizons viewed and communities encountered along the way.

The route unfolded along the solitude of Highway 90, hugging the border down to Del Rio. The vastness of the Trans-Pecos region, with its open skies and rugged terrains, offered an unfiltered canvas of nature's grandeur. And it always helps when you have two willing models on the side of the road looking to ham it up with my vintage Resistol Open Road hat from Chieffalo Americana.

Prada Marfa…I get it. It’s been captured. A. Lot. Look, sometimes things are popular for a reason….they’re cool! I wanted to capture it in the winter light…and show it in a more moody way.

And Marfa…my forever muse The interplay between contemporary installations and historic architecture always provides a rich tapestry of subjects, capturing the fusion of this border/ranching/art town.

The journey further led me through the Big Bend region, where the Rio Grande carves majestic canyons and the Chihuahuan Desert stretches beyond the horizon. Each frame aimed to encapsulate the raw beauty and isolation of this vast landscape and each community.

This extensive collection of images, born from relentless miles and fleeting moments, is a testament to the enduring allure of West Texas. For those seeking to bring a piece of this journey into their spaces, a curated selection is available, each print crafted to resonate with the spirit of the open road and the stories it holds.

Through this visual odyssey, I invite you to experience the untouched beauty and profound solitude of West Texas, a land where every mile tells a story and every photograph captures a moment in time.
